      Course objective

      •     Prepare résumé, cover letter, and interview for an internship in an English-speaking company.
      •     Broaden general vocabulary and knowledge of English-speaking countries for TOEIC.
       
      Grading distribution

      • Speaking (40%): Job Interview (20%) + Final Task (20%)
      • Listening test (25%)
      • Written test (35%): Comprehension (15%) + Writing (20%)

       

      Exam dates:

      • Friday 27/02: Mock job interviews + TOEIC (self-paced)
      • Friday 13/03: TOEIC in class /!\ Amphi ISTIL
      • Friday 27/03: Reading and writing test
      • Friday 10/04: Listening test
      • Monday 20/04: Oral presentations

    • Discover how to apply to a British or American university, then decide which you would recommend.

      Instructions: In pairs or groups of 3, find out how to apply to the university and complete the provided worksheet. Once completed, compare and contrast with a group who researched the other country to decide which you would recommend to French students. 

      Expectations:

      • Be able to identify country-specific vocabulary
      • Speak English throughout the activity
      • Organise yourselves to complete the research within 40 minutes
