This course will address the cellular mechanisms that govern cell architecture and dynamics and how their disruption leads to a wide range of human diseases. It will develop knowledge in the field of advanced imaging, functional genetics and cell biology with applications in developmental biology and human genetics. It will illustrate how interdisciplinary approaches using diverse model systems cooperate to understand how cell architecture is controlled and contributes to tissue morphogenesis and function. It is built on a series of introduction lectures on fundamental cell biology questions held by leading scientist in their field, followed by presentations of their most recent advances. A large time will be devoted to Q&A exchanges and lively interactions.

Students will be evaluated on their contribution to scientific questions during seminars and by proposing a research project as a follow up of the proposed lectures.
