• The greatest advantage of this degree, in my opinion, lies in the multitude of conferences we have and their diversity. These conferences have contributed significantly to my confidence, maturity, and independence in my work. My approach has become more rigorous and detailed since completing the master's degree. Due to our small class size, professors can better understand our individual needs and provide support when necessary. This intimate setting also fosters strong group cohesion, creating a sense of community among us (I'm not sure if you realize, but you've helped create a tight-knit group of friends, and we are all grateful for that). Thank you for your constant support and for what you've built. Emeline D smile

The ideal Master for whoever wishes to specialize in scientific research. Gives us a real opportunity to learn about today's sciences and exchange with international professors and scientists. You get the possibility to do 3 internships in total. A real chance to be fully invested in your work and discover so many different techniques and ways of working in a laboratory. Being able to speak and work in English all the time also helps you to familiarize yourself with the scientific world at an international level. It's a Master that also helps you get out of your comfort zone by giving you multiple group projects and solo oral presentations to gain confidence and insight into the way other scientists work. Choosing this master's was the best decision I could have made after my bachelor's. Even if sometimes it tends to be complex to work on certain projects, it does not feel like I'm forced to do work. I do it because I enjoy what I am doing!

My experience of this Masters programme has been incredible. It stands out for its openness, inclusiveness and direct immersion in the world of research. The work is practical and designed to improve our thinking as future researchers. The egalitarian approach of the Masters, based on who we are, fosters an environment conducive to open dialogue and continuous improvement. What makes this master's programme really special is the opportunity to build a professional network right from the start by meeting diverse and interesting individuals. It's a real launching pad for those aspiring to a career in research. The diversity of student profiles adds a unique touch to the learning experience. Incredible internships are available, whether through collaborations abroad or by seizing individual opportunities. For me, this Masters programme has been an invaluable opportunity. I am grateful for the connections, experiences and environment that have shaped my perspective and strengthened my skills. So, if you are one of the future students on this Masters programme, good luck to you! You're in for a fantastic two years, especially in Lyon (an amazing city)!

I really love this master’s program, and I will try to explain why. Firstly, what sets this master's program apart and seduced me is its alternative pedagogy. No more traditional courses and exams, instead, we seamlessly learn through active participation. The emphasis on projects that matter to us personally requires continuous learning and application. We engage in activities that mirror the life of a researcher: conducting experiments in laboratories for practical classes, creating and presenting posters, participating in journal clubs, and completing three internships in total. Another important aspect of the master’s program, at least for me, is its multidisciplinary nature, which adds another layer of richness to the learning experience. Indeed, this master's program champions multidisciplinarity, a quality increasingly valued in the research community. The program offers a great diversity of teaching units, and we have the freedom to tailor our schedules by selecting options that align with our interests, akin to an "à la carte" approach. Finally, what I love most about this master’s program is the people. In terms of professors, the close relationship with them provides personalized guidance and support. They help us choose our direction and actively participate in shaping our future in the field. They assist us as much as possible in finding internships that match our preferences and ensure we are well-treated in environments that align with our aspirations. Regarding classmates, despite internships taking us to various corners of the globe, Japan, the United States, England, Germany, and beyond, the unexpected bonds formed within our small, tightly-knit group are strong. We are already looking forward to reunions this summer. The limited class size allows for the creation of special connections. We are thrilled to have built such strong relationships. Trust me, there were many tears shed when we had to say goodbye to those going abroad for several months, and perhaps longer … Laura A.
