You will study the interactions between the immune system & cancer cells to:
- understand the immune response from the recognition of cancer-specific antigens to cancer cell elimination or escape : activation or suppression
- learn cancers of the immune system: immunopathology
- study interaction between inflammation and cancer genesis
- identify onco-pathogens = pathogens causing cancers
- prevent or treat & delay cancer progression with:
- preventive anti-cancer vaccine (HPV / cervical cancer)
- innovative cancer immunotherapy to treat and retard progression of these diseases with therapeutic vaccines & biotherapies
